Pride (2017)

A collection of images from NYC pride taken on my Canon T70 film camera. Some of these are on 5mm black and white film. This series focuses on the  unity of people during celebration. Some of these images are candids and the others are posed due to the strangers' awareness of the camera. I found that even the strangers that posed still looked very natural and it wasn't forced. This series also captures strangers with their guard down in a community that lets them be them freely. As a queer woman, this experience was one I will cherish forever. There was so much love, good energy, and authenticity present and I believe this series captures my experience.
